Meet Keri – Award-Winning Golf Coach

Keri was named the 2023 PGA of Canada Coach of the Year, PGA of BC Coach of the Year, and Cascade Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year—a testament to her dedication and impact in the sport.

Her coaching journey began in gymnastics, where she transitioned from athlete to coaching a competitive team at her local club. That early passion for coaching carried over to golf, and just days after turning professional, she taught her first lesson and was instantly hooked.

Keri’s first full-time teaching role was at Westwood Plateau Golf Academy, followed by her position as Director of Instruction at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club, where she and her team built a thriving and respected academy. She later joined British Columbia Golf, leading provincial training camps and coaching Team BC at the Canadian Junior Girls’ Championships and the BC Summer Games. In 2023, Keri was selected to coach Team Canada at the FISU University Golf Championships in Turin, Italy.

For 15 seasons, Keri served as Assistant Coach for the UBC Women’s Golf Team, helping guide one of the most successful programs in collegiate golf. During the historic 2021–22 season, the team won all 12 tournaments, including the NAIA National Championship and Golf Canada’s College/University Championship, with nine players earning individual titles. Keri is proud to have returned to the program for the 2025/2026 season as Assistant Coach, continuing her commitment to developing elite female athletes.

Keri is also the founder of the Girls Golf Academy, a female-led program created to keep girls in sport by providing high-quality coaching, mentorship, and an environment where girls feel seen, supported, and empowered. The Academy reflects Keri’s belief in equity, leadership development, and the importance of visible female role models in sport.

She credits her success to the incredible people she has worked alongside, firmly believing that to be great, you must surround yourself with great people. Keri has had the privilege of learning from many of Canada’s top coaches, experiences that continue to shape her athlete-first, holistic approach to coaching.

Her additional accolades include 2019 Lower Mainland Regional PGA of BC Coach of the Year and 2011 PGA of BC Teacher of the Year.

Based in Richmond, British Columbia, Keri is available for coaching and lessons.
